Attorney Marc Consalo has worked for nearly two decades in the fields of criminal and family law assisting his clients through these difficult situations by listening to their concerns and explaining each step of the process to alleviate some of the stress involved.
Mr. Consalo graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rollins College in 1996 and With Honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1999. He has spent his entire legal career practicing here in Central Florida. In December 2016 he received his LLM from Stetson University Law School in Trial Advocacy with Distincition. He has previous experience with the State Attorney's Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit as an assistant state attorney prosecuting felonies, misdemeanors, and sex crimes. In 2003, he opened his own firm and has been handling family law cases and criminal defense ever since. In 2014 Marc accepted a faculty position as a lecturer with the University of Central Florida's Legal Studies Department. Now in addition to representing clients he teaches students preparing to enter law school classes such as criminal law, domestic law, criminal procedure, and civil procedure.
Mr. Consalo has extensive experience in resolving family law matters through amicable mediations or through hard-fought court battles. He has served as the Chair of the Orange County Bar Family Law Executive Committee. Mr. Consalo has also won numerous awards for his work assisting families through the Orange County Guardian Ad Litem program. Marc also has many criminal, jury trials under his belt. Here too he has served as the chair for the Orange County Bar Criminal Law Committee. He also sat on the Florida Bar's Traffic Rules Committee and is a past chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee (9E) for Orange County. This body is entrusted with the vital task of ensuring ethical behavior of local attorneys and adjudicating citizen complaints regarding attorney misconduct. Mr. Consalo has also contributed articles for publication by the Orange County Bar Association Briefs.
As an active member of the Central Florida community, Mr. Consalo has been a youth league football and soccer coach and served on the Central Florida YMCA Sports Committee. He further teaches the course, "Psychology and the Law," as a regular adjunct professor at Rollins College. Finally, he has chaired the Citizens Police Review Board for the City of Orlando.
